達(dá)蒙爸爸 大連 家長@北京F8C安妮媽媽：學(xué)校連續(xù)教學(xué)年限的長短與學(xué)校的好壞、或者重學(xué)術(shù)、還是重綜合素質(zhì)，沒有必然聯(lián)系。但是，其中還是有很大不同的：
1、連續(xù)教學(xué)期限短的學(xué)校，教師和課程的選擇性更大。假設(shè)學(xué)校規(guī)模和師生比相同，比如學(xué)生600人，共有100個教師。1-12年級的學(xué)校，高中大概是25-30個教師；9-12年級的學(xué)校，100個教師就全部是教高中的；
2、連續(xù)教學(xué)年限長的學(xué)校，學(xué)生與學(xué)生、學(xué)生與老師、學(xué)生與社區(qū)更熟悉、關(guān)系更緊密，學(xué)生利用同學(xué)資源、學(xué)校資源、社區(qū)資源更有優(yōu)勢；老師對學(xué)生以及學(xué)生的家庭也更了解，老師進(jìn)行升學(xué)推薦也更能有的放矢；如果能夠順利融入，能夠更深入的了解美國文化；
3、需要童子功的學(xué)科門類，連續(xù)教學(xué)年限長，更有利于孩子的成長。
中國家長在選擇上需要注意的問題：
1、自己的孩子如果從小就需要有專業(yè)優(yōu)勢的專門學(xué)校培養(yǎng)，最好去尋找連續(xù)教學(xué)年限長的專業(yè)學(xué)校；
2、如果孩子學(xué)習(xí)過程涉及到初中升高中（7年或8年到美國就讀）的，建議優(yōu)先到學(xué)制覆蓋孩子整個中學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)周期的學(xué)校；
3、孩子融入能力不強(qiáng)，慎重選擇連續(xù)教學(xué)年限長的學(xué)校。 -
家長您好，學(xué)校的年級設(shè)置跟學(xué)校的好壞是沒有關(guān)聯(lián)的。建議仔細(xì)了解學(xué)校官網(wǎng)信息，深入了解學(xué)校。并且找到適合孩子的，與孩子的性格，特長等最契合的才是最好的選擇。

Depends on the caliber of the school you are looking at. For example, Milton (which is a really good school) has K-8 (day) and 9-12 (day and boarding). Rather than looking at the grades that a school has, I would look at the overall quality of the school and whether it is a good fit for your child.

Both 6-12 and 1-12 schools are about the same. Normally these boarding schools with lower (below G9) schools would have a different management/school team for lower and upper schools. But the important thing about going to these schools is that you don’t need to transfer to another school in G9 or G10 (like the junior boarding schools).

US boarding schools stress BOTH academics as well as extracurricular activities. High schools and colleges want students who are well rounded. It is important that the school will be able to cultivate in your child both excellence in academics as well as sports or arts. -
有些寄宿高中的初中部是并購原來附近的中學(xué)，而且很多有K-12設(shè)置的中學(xué)只有高中部招國際生，所以關(guān)系并不大。
