小孩還差4個(gè)月就14周歲了，現(xiàn)在國(guó)內(nèi)讀7年級(jí)，準(zhǔn)備轉(zhuǎn)校讀全英文國(guó)際班但是必須重讀7年級(jí)，我們?cè)?jì)劃是明年9月去美國(guó)讀9年級(jí)的，那樣到時(shí)候申請(qǐng)美國(guó)9年級(jí)的話會(huì)不會(huì)因?yàn)樵趪?guó)內(nèi)沒有上8年級(jí)而無法申請(qǐng)到9年級(jí)？
如果不可以的話明年9月到了美國(guó)只能上8年級(jí)，這樣我又擔(dān)心他超齡了，上美國(guó)高中是不是按年齡來申請(qǐng)的？是為了提前適應(yīng)全英語授課，才報(bào)考了國(guó)際班的8年級(jí)，但是考試成績(jī)只達(dá)到7年級(jí)的水平，請(qǐng)問是留一級(jí)在國(guó)際班重讀7年級(jí)好還是讀國(guó)內(nèi)普通班的8年級(jí)好呢？

7edu-Dr. Jing 中級(jí)顧問沒有8年級(jí)的成績(jī)，直接申請(qǐng)9年級(jí)會(huì)有困難的，多數(shù)學(xué)校不允許。如果復(fù)讀7年級(jí)，明年則應(yīng)該申請(qǐng)8年級(jí)。讀私校因?yàn)槭亲约撼鲥X，年齡大一點(diǎn)沒有問題。我有留學(xué)生在畢業(yè)典禮當(dāng)天滿20歲的，去了波士頓一所不錯(cuò)的大學(xué)。

就學(xué)校而言，加州的學(xué)校對(duì)學(xué)生的年齡限制多一些。如果去讀國(guó)際班7年級(jí)，在未來是否考慮8申9或9申10也是同樣的道理呢？（不好意思我邏輯有些混亂，可能我沒有特別理解您的問題）

This really depends on how your child’s English standard is. If it is good, then you will have less of a problem. But I believe that some of the schools still want to see his G8 transcript so it might not be that easy to skip a class to G9.
Yes your child will be too old. Schools do not want to see students that are that much older than their peers. You can be a few months old than 15 years old when you enter G9, but not too much more. However you should also ask the school about this when you apply as different schools have different requirements.
I recommend that you go to a less competitive US school this year to study G8. That way you can improve on the English more quickly than if your child stayed in China, even at an international school.
