我的雙胞胎女兒被FORSYTH COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL 這所走讀學(xué)校八年級(jí)錄取并且辦好了學(xué)生簽證。現(xiàn)在問題是寄宿家庭住宿沒有解決，學(xué)校只能9年級(jí)時(shí)提供幫助，我們只能留在國(guó)內(nèi)讀八年級(jí)了?，F(xiàn)在考慮明年轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)去相近城市的OAK RIDGE MILITARY BOARDING SCHOOL寄宿學(xué)校。請(qǐng)了解這兩所學(xué)校的老師幫助分析下，我們?cè)撛鯓舆x擇。謝謝。

您好！FORSYTH COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL 學(xué)術(shù)很好，100%大學(xué)錄取率，其中不乏考入藤校的畢業(yè)生，http://www.fcds.org/advantage/，2008-2013年5年中畢業(yè)生共申請(qǐng)到2800萬(wàn)美金的大學(xué)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，SAT平均分達(dá)到1867，21門AP課程，65%的學(xué)生考到4分以上。師生比8：1，76%教師擁有高級(jí)學(xué)位，80%以上教師教齡超過10年，白人學(xué)生近90%。
不知道您是否自己與學(xué)校聯(lián)系過，學(xué)校一般都要確定學(xué)生的住宿已安排好才會(huì)發(fā)放I-20的。當(dāng)?shù)匾矔?huì)有負(fù)責(zé)安排寄宿家庭的機(jī)構(gòu)，可以詢問學(xué)校提供聯(lián)系方式。如果到這種程度，學(xué)校還是不提供幫助解決寄宿家庭問題，那只能說明太欠缺人文關(guān)懷，不去也罷。孩子可以準(zhǔn)備一下語(yǔ)言，申請(qǐng)好一點(diǎn)的寄宿學(xué)校。不建議女孩兒去軍校，可以考慮女校。 -
細(xì)看看，這個(gè)學(xué)校有些讓人擔(dān)憂的家長(zhǎng)評(píng)論。不知您讀了沒有。我附上兩個(gè)給你參考。如果美國(guó)家長(zhǎng)尚且覺著跟學(xué)校溝通太困難，更何況我們?cè)谕鈬?guó)的家長(zhǎng)。謹(jǐn)慎啊。
“Our high school senior was sent to Oak Ridge as her choice to pursue a military career; she went from top grades and high honors to failing grades and social drama by the end of second break. The school has no regard for parents, does not communicate about problems that exist in administration and discipline -- does not stand for its own stated values! Look very carefully at its record and definitely send your child elsewhere.”
“My son attended this school I don't like the way they treat the parents and they have no respect for anybody. It takes a act of congress to get anything done and they won't return calls and they're dorm building are out of date there showers have water shooting out of the top and the bathrooms are disgusting I gaged when I picked my son up there's drugs going all around the place they can't discplene at all every one runs wild and out of control.If you want you're child to better them selfs this is not the place”

難道在申請(qǐng)時(shí)沒有和學(xué)校確定后寄宿家庭的問題？學(xué)校連I20都發(fā)了，也沒有說清楚這個(gè)？再退一步，學(xué)校不提供，自己也可以嘗試在學(xué)校周邊去找寄宿家庭呀。留學(xué)是個(gè)大事情，建議還是把很多東西都想清楚，而不是盲目去。
