Here is what you need to know/do to make this process go smoothly:

· You will be entering the US with your B-1/B-2 visa. Your F-1 visa will not be 'active' yet.

· Before your summer program ends, you will need to apply for a 'Change of Non-Immigrant Status'. This process can be done by using USCIS ELIS (an online system) and filling out Form I-539. You will need a couple of things:

· A copy of your signed I-20

· A copy of your I-94 with the 'prospective student' mark on it

· A bank statement (just like the one you provided to us when you first applied to Stuart, this is just to prove that you have enough funds to attend school here)

· $195.00, which is the I-539 standard fee.

Make sure you don't wait until the very last minute to apply for the change of status - even though you will be fine if the case is still processing, ideally you'd want to make the switch to an F-1 just in time for school to start. Not a big deal if it goes over for a few days/weeks though, as long as you don't have any intents of leaving the country.

2，離開(kāi)美國(guó)回到祖國(guó)申請(qǐng)學(xué)生簽證。這種操作比在美國(guó)用I-539轉(zhuǎn)換身份容易得多。因?yàn)樵诿绹?guó)申請(qǐng)轉(zhuǎn)換身份會(huì)要求你提供資產(chǎn)證明、以及你要對(duì)你從b1簽證轉(zhuǎn)成學(xué)生身份的合理說(shuō)明等等以及其它相關(guān)說(shuō)明。我成功地辦理過(guò)兩個(gè)學(xué)生在美國(guó)由B1轉(zhuǎn)換成學(xué)生身份，但我覺(jué)得在美國(guó)轉(zhuǎn)換身份比學(xué)生在國(guó)內(nèi)申請(qǐng)F(tuán)1簽證復(fù)雜很多。建議直接回國(guó)申請(qǐng)F(tuán)1簽證。

回來(lái)申請(qǐng)面簽。找個(gè)合適的面簽時(shí)間就好。
