SSAT的百分比釋疑
根據(jù)SSAT 官方有關(guān)SSAT Percentile 的摘錄如下：“The SSAT Percentile (1 to 99) compares the student's performance on the SSAT with that of other students of the same grade and gender who have taken the SSAT in the U.S. and Canada on a Standard test date in the previous three years. For students who have taken the SSAT more than once, only their first set of scores is included in the norming process.
想請(qǐng)教業(yè)內(nèi)同仁，最后這句話的理解是否為：學(xué)生第一次參加的SSAT的各單項(xiàng)成績(jī)歸入標(biāo)準(zhǔn)組進(jìn)行百分比統(tǒng)計(jì)，但不會(huì)影響此學(xué)生的第二三次考試成績(jī)的占比？還是第一次成績(jī)也會(huì)影響第二三次考試的排序。

這只是說(shuō)明SSAT統(tǒng)計(jì)百分比排名的數(shù)據(jù)是根據(jù)過(guò)去三年學(xué)生第一次考的成績(jī)來(lái)計(jì)算的。后面考試的成績(jī)不計(jì)入統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù)，但計(jì)入個(gè)人成績(jī)的。換句話話，如果你考的成績(jī)百分比是50%，成績(jī)比你高的一般會(huì)多于成績(jī)比你低的，因?yàn)槎嗫紟状?，成?jī)一般會(huì)更高一些。

張老師說(shuō)的對(duì)，只有第一次的成績(jī)用來(lái)作為統(tǒng)計(jì)。 而且它說(shuō)是只有在美國(guó)和加拿大在同一時(shí)間（應(yīng)該是指月份）考的成績(jī)才用來(lái)參考統(tǒng)計(jì)，那就是說(shuō)在中國(guó)區(qū)考的SSAT成績(jī)本來(lái)也不在這個(gè)參考pool里面的。

Actually what this means is:
Students will be compared with other students of the same gender and grade for the last 3 years - a pool
For students who take the SSAT more than once, only the first score will go into the pool
This means
Year 1 year 2 year 3 = average score of all the students (but only for the first test that each student takes)
percentile = student's score factor into the average of 3 years
However, the first SSAT test that a student will take will not affect the student's scores of the next test.
So if you are 99 percentile, then you are 1% above the rest of all the students.

按照現(xiàn)在這樣的理解，即使你達(dá)到90%的百分比例，用這個(gè)成績(jī)提交去申請(qǐng)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)激烈的學(xué)校，可能很多人的百分比都和你差不多（假設(shè)學(xué)生考了2-3次，最后一次最佳的成績(jī)都比第一次成績(jī)有大幅度提升）。
