我孩子目前在中國(guó)讀初二（8年紀(jì)），今年寒假登陸美國(guó)拿到綠卡，我們計(jì)劃先讓孩子去熟悉美國(guó)的TOP高中，如參加學(xué)校的夏令營(yíng)什么的，然后開(kāi)始申請(qǐng)?jiān)诿绹?guó)就讀9年紀(jì)。我們的BOY很喜歡科學(xué)和計(jì)算機(jī)，在學(xué)校里英語(yǔ)也不錯(cuò)，不過(guò)目前還沒(méi)參加過(guò)SSAT和TOFEL考試。想請(qǐng)專業(yè)的人士幫助推薦波士頓附近或舊金山附近的TOP高中，并幫助聯(lián)系學(xué)校，可否幫助一起制定未來(lái)的求學(xué)計(jì)劃和專業(yè)建議。

有了綠卡就是美國(guó)永久居民。上好學(xué)區(qū)的公立學(xué)校是做好的選擇。在Boston地區(qū)有很多好的私立學(xué)校，不比一般的私立學(xué)校差。只要在好學(xué)區(qū)買房或租房即可。

計(jì)劃讀優(yōu)秀私立學(xué)校九年級(jí)現(xiàn)在就應(yīng)申請(qǐng)了，也就是說(shuō)到目前，申請(qǐng)學(xué)校的名單應(yīng)已定好，已經(jīng)或已有計(jì)劃參觀目標(biāo)學(xué)校，所有的申請(qǐng)材料（包括考試）應(yīng)已備齊。寒假以后再準(zhǔn)備恐怕太遲了。 如果讀公立學(xué)校則不必?fù)?dān)心前這些問(wèn)題。
我明年一月份以后就會(huì)忙過(guò)大學(xué)申請(qǐng)季節(jié)，屆時(shí)如需要幫助，歡迎聯(lián)系。 -
Thanks for the inquiry. Since your son has a green card, your son has some more options. He can go to one of good/better public schools or to private day schools or boarding schools. while public schools requires your residence where the school is located for entering school, private school, especially elite private school requires what the top boarding schools requires, although admission criteria might be different depending on the mission and character of the schools.
If your son is aiming one of top universities in us, I recommend for him to apply one of top private schools which has higher success rate of sending their graduates to go the top universities in USA. In order to get accepted to this type of school, your son needs good preparation and strategies for admission.
If your son goes by himself to a high school, options are limited. Your son should apply to boarding schools or to private elite day schools with good student management program or guardianship program that focuses on helping students succeed at schools.
From preparing to apply to high schools to applying universities/colleges will take a longer, yet serious management program with professional guidance, especially for international students. 如果貴公子是獨(dú)自就讀中學(xué)，那么就有些限制了，他必須要申請(qǐng)住宿制學(xué)?；蛘咚搅⒌妮加⒆咦x學(xué)校并且提供良好的學(xué)生管理和監(jiān)護(hù)的服務(wù)。原因就是要能夠協(xié)助他學(xué)業(yè)的成功。
