I assume that your daughter is now 9th grade student and repeat 9th grade in USA. In order to apply top private schools, your daughter should have excellent TOEFL score (usually around 100 out of 120) and SSAT about 90%. And you daughter needs these score before January 2013. Perhaps this might be a big challenge for your daughter. Since deadline is approaching, you should prepare for application as soon as possible

For checking the schools, you can go to the school website directly since school website is pretty clear about admission criteria. Or you can call to the school and ask questions directly. Each school has different admission criteria. Or you can work with someone or respected professionals to work on behalf of your daughter. Sometime that is easier and clear. Even you can ask these people to call right on that spot for you.

Also, certainly you can apply by yourself. Nevertheless, it would take a lot time and energy. From my experience, typically more than 80% applicants use professional assistance, about 20 % of applicants would apply directly. If you have a good, effective ethical professional, the success rate would be higher.

如果對(duì)學(xué)校有要求的話(huà)，學(xué)校對(duì)你也有要求，最好還是有SSAT and TOEFL，但是來(lái)不及考也沒(méi)有辦法，建議你參加10／25 北京或10／27的TABS展會(huì)，一周前有說(shuō)明會(huì)的，趕快報(bào)名！

從第一個(gè)問(wèn)題看你對(duì)高中申請(qǐng)還基本不怎么了解，現(xiàn)在時(shí)間蠻緊的了，還是建議找專(zhuān)業(yè)人士。

2、現(xiàn)在必須盡快準(zhǔn)備了，明年去讀的話(huà)，現(xiàn)在才想申請(qǐng)已經(jīng)晚了些了，所以得抓緊時(shí)間考托福和SSAT。申請(qǐng)什么學(xué)校得根據(jù)在校成績(jī)、托福和SSAT成績(jī)來(lái)決定的。沒(méi)有這些成績(jī)也可以申請(qǐng)，申請(qǐng)排名之外的學(xué)校，也是很好的學(xué)校，放心，美國(guó)的教育資源還是很均衡的，私立學(xué)校要靠成績(jī)和升學(xué)情況來(lái)生存，所以不會(huì)有差的學(xué)校。這些學(xué)校也是現(xiàn)在就要準(zhǔn)備了，如學(xué)校的選擇、申請(qǐng)資料準(zhǔn)備。。。
3、自己申請(qǐng)，先找學(xué)校選學(xué)校－－學(xué)校網(wǎng)站上有詳細(xì)的申請(qǐng)要求，填表在線(xiàn)申請(qǐng)，按要求準(zhǔn)備資料－－寄出，等待通知。如果家長(zhǎng)現(xiàn)在才準(zhǔn)備，如果英文一般，那自己申請(qǐng)晚了點(diǎn)，會(huì)很緊張的。你得在網(wǎng)上多搜索別人的經(jīng)驗(yàn)，總結(jié)學(xué)習(xí)。要快！

首先，申請(qǐng)比較好的美國(guó)高中一般是需要托福和SSAT的。
