Francis Parker, The School of Thought, is rooted in our Core Values:

Our Core Values are our compass. They guide us, reminding us who we are and what we believe in.

Intellectual Curiosity and Critical Thinking Icon

Intellectual Curiosity + Critical Thinking

Our questioning is purposeful. Finding answers is important, but it’s the process
that opens and grows our minds.
Equity and Cultural Competency Icon

Equity + Cultural Competency

We are active listeners, always inviting diverse perspectives to the table. Empathy informs our teaching and our learning to help individuals thrive.
Individuality and Responsibility Icon

Individuality + Responsibility

Our thoughts, ideas, and unique selves come together to create an inclusive,
interdependent, and collaborative place. Together, we make a community committed to doing good.
Creativity and Expression Icon

Creativity + Expression

Safe spaces cultivate joy and freedom. We create an environment of sharing —
thoughts, feelings, ideas — so that everyone feels at ease to be who they are.
Kindness and Belonging Icon

Kindness + Belonging

We choose compassion. To listen and help each other. And as a result, we all feel
a sense of community rooted in respect, support, and trust.

Our Progressive education model is articulated distinctively within each Division.

Francis Parker families celebrated World Kindness Day with our annual Family Lantern Walk Friday on the Goshen Campus. Each family carried a lantern on a hike back to the heart-shaped rock along a pathway lit by lanterns. We gathered Friday to celebrate peace, kindness, belonging, compassion, and community!
