OUR PROGRAMSInfants and Young Explorers (8 weeks-18 months)
TLC’s infant classrooms are cozy, warm and inviting environments for children eight weeks through 18 months. Our infant teachers pride themselves on creating a safe, loving and stimulating environment for every child. Talking, singing, interacting and reading are at the heart of the infant rooms. Our "team" approach to childcare allows our infants to remain with the primary care givers for a longer period of time to form healthy attachments for strong emotional and intellectual growth. Toddlers (18-36 months) TLC’s Toddler classrooms are designed for children 18 months to 36 months. Our toddler classrooms embrace the love of exploring with all of their five senses! Toddlers love to play, get dirty, discover new things and learn through play and laughter. Children thrive in this environment for a number of reasons. The children are given the opportunity to remain with their primary caregivers for an extended period of time. They form strong attachments with their teachers and a true partnership is formed with the teachers and families in creating the ideal environment for our toddlers. Children also are presented with many opportunities for leadership with their peers and are exposed to a wider range of vocabulary. Preschool (3-5 Year Olds) TLC’s Preschool program is designed for our three-five year old children. It is the perfect blend of whole-group, small-group and self-directed learning. Teachers create in-depth projects child-inspired. Projects can last anywhere from a week to months depending on the children's questions, discoveries, and interest. The children can also participate in small group project work. This even smaller group of students allows for the teacher to differentiate to each child's individual levels. |
